An event poster for one of my illustration classes. There is no such thing as a Final Fantasy VII Festival, but I just wanted to have some fun with the image of the buster sword sticking out of the ground. I'm pretty sure that convention center doesn't exist either.
I like the way the clouds turned out in this piece, as well as the smooth shading and reflections on the sword. I've got a small amount of negetive feedback over the linework in the foreground, vs leaving the entire piece without linework. I feel the linework gives it a bit more vibrancy and makes it a bit more video-gamesque, so it stays for now.
